Tell Clementine where to look and it will find audio files and present them to you in its beautiful interface – you can then play your tracks, create playlists, access lyrics and artist bios and photos, and generally keep your music library nicely sorted. If you don’t have any music on your machine, you can use the Clementine application to listen to internet radio. All this functionality is provided to you for the awesome price of free.

Clementine is available for multiple platforms. It is available for Windows, Mac OS X, Fedora, Ubuntu, and Debian – 32 as well as 64-bit editions of these operating systems. The Windows installation file is little over 18MB in size. Download, run this file, and you will be presented with a setup wizard; click through the onscreen instructions it presents and in little time you will be done with installing Clementine on your PC.

As it was developed with ease of use in mind, the interface will not pose a problem to any user, not even a novice. From the Preferences Menu you can give the interface a custom feel by opting for a custom color set and by selecting a custom image to be used as the background.

Clementine works like this: indicate the folders, the application scans them, and then it adds them to the library. You can then play the tracks in your library, sort them into playlists, love and ban tracks, remove duplicates from a playlist, check out some nice visualizations while the music plays, access artist info, and more.

Don’t have any music on your PC? If this is the case, you can use Clementine to listen to online radio. The application works with Spotify, Grooveshark, Last.fm, SomaFM, Magnatune, Jamendo, SKY.fm, Digitally Imported, JAZZRADIO.com, Soundcloud, and Icecast. It also works with Google Drive; it can play songs uploaded to Google Drive.

As mentioned at the start of this article, Clementine is free. You won’t have to part with any of your money to enjoy the wonderful functionality this music player and library organizer has to offer.

I don’t see what’s not to like about Clementine. It is free, it has a very nice and customizable interface, it is a powerful music player with tons of features to offer.

Pros

Clementine is available for multiple platforms. The user friendly interface can be customized. Use Clementine to play your music files and keep your music library organized. Also use the application to listen to online radio. Clementine is free.

Cons

None that I could think of.
